Kelly Slater 11x World Champion
Quiksilver's Kelly Slater clinched an historic and unprecedented 11th ASP World Title today in the cold and challenging waters of San Francisco's Ocean Beach. Slater, 39, is the first surfer to achieve 11 ASP World Titles, an accomplishment spanning two decades of an astounding career during which he has dominated competitive surfing as both the youngest and oldest ASP World Champion.

What can you say? All the superlatives have run out for Kelly. I'd love to know his fitness program. He remains very supple. Must do lots of yoga maybe. I'm way out of Kelly's league surfing-wise, but at age 39, he gives heart to an old fart of 54 like me who still loves to surf as much as he can and who still tries to pull as many manoeuvres as I can manage!!!

Jeremy Flores was disqualified from the Burleigh Breaka Pro on Saturday after he was involved in fight with a local surfer. The altercation elevated when Sunny Garcia rushed into the water grabbed the local surfer in a headlock and repeatedly punched him in the head.
Andy Irons Memorial - Kauai - 14/11/2010
1,000 friends in a paddle out beyond the rising waves to encircle a double-hull canoe that carried Andy's wife Lyndie, his parents and close friends. On shore, thousands more watched on as Andy's ashes were released into the sea and flowers poured from a helicopter circling above.
