Rip Curl Gromsearch - Hicks home victory

Dejavu at the Rip Curl GromSearch -- In a spooky twist of fate at today’s Rip Curl GromSearch event held at Gisborne, the winners of the six divisions contested were the exact same as the first event of the series held ten weeks ago in Taranaki. Winner of the under 16 boys division Johnny Hicks (Gis) completed the sequence of events when he won the last final of the day surfing less than one kilometre from his backyard.

Disaster at one of Bali's most Famous surf spots, as a 150 foot fishing boat run's aground at Padang Padang.Reports suggest that the boat was infact a Taiwanese vessel illegally fishing in Indo waters. The crew of the boat evacuated and dissapeared taking with them all documents on the boat.
