November was a rare spring month, with relatively settled air flows across most of the country. Some massive highs pushed over NZ and like October, the West Coast was the main beneficiary of these conditions.
The national average jumped again, this time by 10% over Octobers rating with almost every region reporting better wave quality. One region stood out though and for the second month running we have Auckland's West Coast in the #1 position. With a good swell for 95% of the month and favourable winds for the most part, there were 14 reasonable days of surf. Not bad considering November is usually an absolute shocker with howling SW winds for AK surfers.
Other regions to enjoy some decent consistent conditions were Dunedin and the East Coast, only slightly behind Auckland with ratings of 3.9 and 3.8 respectively.

The first month of Summer started off well, but the last week has been decidely average across the country. We will need a few cranking days of waves to try and better November's conditions and anything is possible with the current weather patterns.
