The creation of Surf2surf.com was a logical progression, taking the proven Wavetrack surf reports to a dynamic online format.
While the delivery of our reports is new, the way we acquire our data is not. We still utilise experienced local on-the-beach surf reporters for all wave reports. You just can’t beat paid beach spotters to give true beach conditions, local knowledge, tips like ocean pulse, swell angle and upper level cloud/wind movement, and of course all the little gems, like where the banks are go’in off on that particular day.
As well as great surf reports, we are committed to providing great online surf content in the form of news, stories, galleries, new spots info, club and contest updates and a comprehensive industry directory.
Surf2surf.com is not our first leap into the online world. We created www.surf.co.nz in 1997, and provided surf reports & content through to 2001 - when the business was sold. We learnt many lessons during this time, and now will be our chance to implement them.
In this digital world we live in, technology is changing and developing daily. Broadband is now available at reasonable rates, 3 G wireless phones are here, there are so many wonderful channels in which to provide surfers with the info they need, when they need it. Keep tuned to surf2surf.com, as we’re working on surf report technology that’ll keep you stoked and surfin forever.
